I recently attended a photograph workshop in Death Valley, California. As a Death Valley neophyte, I was overwhelmed with the stark natural beauty as well as the sheer desolation of the place.
Death Valley, despite its ominous name, is actually teaming with life. There are numerous varieties of plants and animals that brave the 100+ degree temperatures and eke out a survival with meager amounts of water in the desert.
The rocky terrain makes for some beautiful photographs. If you have not had the opportunity to tour Death Valley, I highly recommend it.
